Looking Glass UX System
Modern vehicles are highly complex, with most providing a touchscreen display to access critical vehicle functions. A human’s ability to interface with and effectively make use of computer-driven complex data sets and tasks is limited by the design of the access point, or user interface, that is provided. On the road, poorly designed user interfaces create dangerous distractions by pulling user attention away from the road.
The Looking Glass UX system is a data interaction and visualization solution that uses the same hierarchical methodology that the human brain naturally uses for analysis (lists, details, and interactions) to reduce conative load on users.
When implemented, the Looking Glass UX system allows for more effective use of screen space, organizing, and pinning tasks & information of primary importance to be always showing, minimizing distraction & time spent switching between information screens.
